Taste: Floral with a pleasant anise flavor
The first 10 centimeters of the plant are harvested when it is in bloom. The thickest stems are removed, and then the tender young shoots are chopped along with the leaves and flowers.
This plant is harvested throughout the summer, but we stop harvesting it after mid-September, when other flowers become scarce, as Anise flowers are a preferred food source for bees.
